Women Keep Singing

In this atelier we will cover a wide variety of both sacred and secular repertoire, arranged for women’s voices, by composers from all over the world. Ranging from familiar pieces to more challenging works, there is something here for all female singers.

Dion Ritten received his music degree at the Maastricht Conservatory (The Netherlands). He proceeded studying choral conducting and prosecuted this study at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Rheinland Grenzland in Aachen. He studied Orchestral Conducting in Leuven. He is currently conductor of Weerter Mixed Choir Vivace,  Nijmeegs Male Choir, Chamber Choir Limburg, KRZM Roermond, Chamber Choir Cantate Venlo and Male Choir Beeker Liedertafel and the founder and artistic director of Cantarode International Choir Festival & Competition in Kerkrade, one of the most prestigious choral festivals in Europe. Nationally and internationally he is a judge at competitions and gives workshops. With various choirs he has won national and international awards; he won the Dutch Choir Festival and was pricewinning in the prestigious International Kammerchor Wettbewerb Marktoberdorf (Germany).
